Anmol Speaks at national level Debate Competition in Ahmednagar, 15-Sep-18

‘আৰ্মি ৱেলফেয়াৰ এডুকেচন চছাইটি’ নামৰ অনুষ্ঠানটোৱে আৰ্মি স্কুল আৰু কেন্দ্ৰীয় বিদ্যালয়সমূহৰ মাজত কেইবাও ভাগত (league) ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলৰ মাজত প্ৰতি়যোগিতাৰ আয়োজন কৰে৷ সৰ্বভাৰতীয় পৰ্যায়ত কৃতকাৰ্যতা লাভ কৰা দল সমূহে সৈন্য-বাহিনীৰ বাহিৰেও আন স্কুলসমূহৰ বিজয়ী প্ৰতিযোগীসকলৰ লগত সৰ্বভাৰতীয় পৰ্যায়ত এনে প্ৰতিযোগিতাত অংশ গ্ৰহণ কৰাৰ সুযোগ লাভ কৰে৷

বাপু (আনমোল), মানে আমাৰ ডাঙৰ ল’ৰাটোৱে গোলকোণ্ডা আৰ্মি স্কুলৰ পৰা এটা ভাগত ক্ষেত্ৰ-ভিত্তিত (regional level) প্ৰতিযোগিতাত প্ৰথম পুৰস্কাৰ লাভ কৰি (৪ আগষ্ট, ২০১৮) সৰ্বভাৰতীয় প্ৰতিযোগিতাত অংশ গ্ৰহন কৰাৰ সুবিধা পাইছিল৷ এইটো প্ৰতিযোগিতা ১৫ চেপ্তেম্বৰ, অৰ্থাৎ কালি মহাৰাষ্ট্ৰৰ আহমেদনগৰ নামৰ ঠাইত অনুষ্ঠিত হৈছিল৷

কেইদিনমানৰ আগতে মই অফিচৰ কামৰ মাজত ব্যস্ত থকা সময়তে আনন্দত অধীৰ হৈ সি ফোন কৰি কৈছিল – “আমাৰ টপিকটো আজি এইমাত্ৰ পালোঁ, কেৰেলাৰ প্ৰাকৃতিক দুৰ্যোগৰ কাৰণটো মানুহে সৃষ্টি কৰা, মই এই বিষয়টোৰ ওপৰত ক’ব লাগে৷” কি কাকতালীয় সংযোগ! দুৰ্যোগৰ এই গোটেই সময়খিনি মই কেৰালাত বাস কৰিছিলোঁ! লগে লগে মই তাক গেদগিল প্ৰতিবেদনৰ কথা, বাতৰি কাকতৰ খবৰ কিছুমান, আৰু ডেম-৯৯৯ চিনেমাখনকে আদি কৰি এডৰা গাই শুনাই দিলোঁ আৰু ক’লো, এই দুৰ্যোগটোযে ‘মেন-মেড্‌’ তাত মোৰ অলপো সন্দেহ নাই!  সেইদিনাই আবেলিলৈ আকৌ তাৰ ফোন, হতাশা-ভৰা মাত, সি হেনো বিষয়টোৰ বিপক্ষে ক’ব লাগিব, অৰ্থাৎ সি কথাৰে প্ৰতিপন্ন কৰিব লাগিব যে এই দুৰ্যোগ আছিল প্ৰাকৃতিক, মানুহৰ কাম-কাজ ৰ লগত এই ঘটনাৰ কোনো লেন-দেন নাই! কেনেকৈ আগবঢ়া যায় সি কোনো উৱাদিহ পোৱা নাই! মই ক’লো – হেৰৌ, তৰ্ক প্ৰতিযোগিতা সঁচা-মিছা সত্যাপন কৰাৰ ঠাই নহয়, শব্দ আৰু বাক-পটুতাৰ প্ৰদৰ্শনহে ইয়াৰ মূল লক্ষ্য, ‘নহয়’-ক ‘হয়’ কৰাতহে আচল কৃতিত্ব!

হয়, সি আকৌ প্ৰথম পুৰস্কাৰটো পাবলৈ সক্ষম হ’ল৷ দলগত ভাবে সিহঁত তৃতিয় হোৱাত এতিয়া আৰু সিহঁতে আন বিভাগ আৰু স্কুলৰ পৰা বিজয়ী হৈ অহা সকলৰ লগত আকৌ তৰ্কযুদ্ধত লিপ্ত হোৱাৰ সুযোগ এইবাৰলৈ নাপায়৷ সি কি কৈছিল তলৰ লিংকটোত সময়-সুবিধা হলে শুনিব পাৰে –

AWES- Army Welfare Education Society organizes several competitions in multiple leagues among the students of Army Public Schools and KVs.  Winners among them subsequently compete with other schools at national levels.

Bapu (Anmol), our elder son represented Army Public Schools, Golconda and won the regional level (cluster level) on 4^th Aug and went ahead to take on his competitors at national level on 15^th instant, yesterday! It was held at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

A few days ago, during my office work he rang me up and told very enthusiastically that the topic had come from Head Quarter and he had to speak on the subject– “the Kerala flood is a man-made consequence!” What a coincidence,  I have been in Kerala throughout the disastrous time and instantly gave his a list of examples referring the Gadgil Reports, news report reference and the movie Dam-999.  I reassured him that it was indeed man-made. The same evening a very upset, timid Bapu spoke to me and said he had to speak against the motion to establish that it was in fact a natural disaster, man had nothing to do! And, he is clueless, how to proceed! I inspired him – here was the chance to prove your intellect. Debate competitions are games of words & elocution, not of facts & figures! Give a try!

Yes, he bags the “Best Speaker” prize against the motion. However, as a team, they stood third losing the chance of taking on winners of other leagues and schools. You may hear him at:
